Recognizing and Avoiding Burnout as a Small Business Owner – Presented by: Emily Rein, LMHC Founder, Bloom Wellness of Rochester LLC

May 26 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Small business owners work, on average, 50 or more hours per week. It is common for small business owners to lack benefits such as healthcare, disability and paid time off for illness or vacation leave.

Small business owners are responsible for every facet of their business and often take on multiple roles within their company. This level of responsibility, long hours and lack of time away from work, have been linked to higher incidents of burnout.

This presentation will help attendees recognize the signs of burnout, which include insomnia, chronic fatigue and low mood. Symptoms will be reviewed and suggestions for managing these will be provided.

While symptom management and treatment of burnout is possible, a healthier approach is to avoid burnout in the first place. The presenter will provide suggestions on ways to improve self-care, outsource tasks, learn how to let go of control and ask for help with your business in an effort to maintain your overall health.

Community Members and Guests can purchase tickets HERE!

This event is FREE to Founding and Premier Members of PowHer Haven!

The presentation will be followed by a period of discussion regarding real-life examples of attendees experiencing burnout and ways that burnout has affected them personally and professionally. Attendees will have the opportunity to share best practices for avoiding burnout in order to support others in their efforts to make these positive life changes.
